The EnCap Flatrock Midstream management team is led by Managing Partners Bill Waldrip, Billy Lemmons, Dave Kurtz, Greg King, Sam Pitts and Morriss Hurt. With more than a century of combined midstream experience, our founders have been directly involved in approximately $17 billion in midstream transactions and investments over the course of their careers and they are widely regarded as leading experts in the North American midstream market.

William D. Waldrip

Managing Partner & Founder

William ("Bill") D. Waldrip is a Managing Partner and Founder of EnCap Flatrock Midstream. From 2000 to 2008, Mr. Waldrip served as President, Senior Partner and Founder of Flatrock Energy Advisors, providing advisory services for the midstream sector. His past responsibilities include serving as COO for Lewis Energy Group and as Vice President and Southwestern Region Manager for Delhi Gas Pipeline. At Delhi, he was responsible for all commercial, engineering, operations and administrative matters associated with Delhi’s assets in South and West Texas, including direct P&L responsibility. He began his career as an engineer with Texas Eastern Transmission Corporation in Houston. He has extensive background in the natural gas gathering segment along with experience with natural gas liquids and crude oil facilities.

Mr. Waldrip holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Louisiana Tech University and completed an Advanced Management Program at Indiana University Graduate School of Business in 1992. Mr. Waldrip is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas. He also currently serves on the board of directors of several EFM portfolio companies, including Rangeland Energy III, Rangeland Energy IV and Ironwood Midstream Energy Partners.

William R. Lemmons Jr.

William ("Billy") R. Lemmons, Jr. is a Managing Partner and Founder of EnCap Flatrock Midstream. From 2002 to 2008, Mr. Lemmons served as an Executive Vice President and Senior Partner of Flatrock Energy Advisors. Prior to joining Flatrock in 2002, Mr. Lemmons served as a Vice President with Enron Corp., where he held various energy finance and commercial origination positions from 1992 to 2002. From 1984 to 1992, Mr. Lemmons was with Texas Oil & Gas Corporation, where he was a Project Development Engineer with Delhi Gas Pipeline, a Drilling and Production Engineer with TXO Production, and worked in Corporate Planning & Strategy Development.

Mr. Lemmons holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University, as well as an M.B.A. (Phi Kappa Phi) from the Mays Graduate School of Business at Texas A&M University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas, a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and a member of the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers. The Lemmons family is active in supporting several service organizations such as Hill Country Daily Bread, Hill Country Family Services and Family Legacy Ministries in Zambia. Additionally, Mr. Lemmons has been and remains active on various advisory and other boards at Texas A&M University. He currently serves as Chair-elect and Chair of the Investment Committee on the Board of Trustees of the Texas A&M Foundation. In July 2017, Mr. Lemmons was appointed to the Board of Trustees of the George & Barbara Bush Foundation, and in May 2013, he was a Civilian Fellow at the 60th National Security Forum at the Air War College at Maxwell AFB in Montgomery, Alabama. He currently serves on the board of directors of several EFM portfolio companies, including Cardinal Midstream Partners, Iron Horse Midstream and Moda Midstream.

Dennis F. Jaggi

Dennis F. Jaggi is a Founder of EnCap Flatrock Midstream. From 2008 to 2019 he served as Managing Partner and Founder. From 2001 to 2008, Mr. Jaggi served as an Executive Vice President and Senior Partner of Flatrock Energy Advisors. Prior to Flatrock Energy Advisors, Mr. Jaggi served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Enogex Inc., an Oklahoma-based midstream affiliate of OGE Energy. At Enogex, he was responsible for management of all operations, engineering design and construction, gas control, capital investments, gas supply and E&P activities. From 1981 to 1997, prior to his role with Enogex, Mr. Jaggi was Vice President and Regional Manager with Delhi Pipeline Corporation, a subsidiary of Texas Oil and Gas Corp., where he managed and directed the activities of Delhi's Northern Region in Oklahoma City. Prior to his role at Delhi, Mr. Jaggi had positions of increasing responsibility with Texas Eastern Transmission.

Mr. Jaggi holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla (now the Missouri University of Science and Technology). He is a member of The Academy of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. He is also a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas and Louisiana. Mr. Jaggi previously served as Chairman of the Board and Campaign Chairman for the United Way of Central Oklahoma and is currently a member of the Board of Trustees.

Gregory C. King

Managing Partner

Gregory ("Greg") C. King is a Managing Partner of EnCap Flatrock Midstream. Prior to joining EnCap FlatrockMidstream in 2015, Mr. King served as President of Valero Energy Corporation (NYSE: VLO) from 2003 to 2007. As Valero’s President, he helped develop and execute a strategy to build the largest independent refiner in North America. During the same period, he also served as a member of the board of directors of Valero, LP (now NuStar Energy, L.P) (NYSE: NS). Mr. King held various roles before being named President, including General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer.

Mr. King also is actively involved with a number of charitable organizations. He serves as the Chairman of Focus on the Family, a national, faith-based organization headquartered in Colorado Springs. Mr. King is also a Director Emeritus of the University of Houston Law Foundation. Mr. King earned his J.D. at the University of Houston Law Center in 1985 and practiced law as a partner at Bracewell LLP’s Houston office from 1985 to 1993. He received a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Texas in 1982. Mr. King currently serves on the board of directors of several EnCap Flatrock portfolio companies, including Edgewater Midstream, Lotus Midstream and Moda Midstream.

David J. Kurtz

David J. Kurtz is a Managing Partner of EnCap Flatrock Midstream. Prior to joining EnCap Flatrock Midstream in 2014, Mr. Kurtz served as President and Partner of Alpine, Inc., an exploration and production company focused on both conventional and unconventional plays. From 2003 to 2013 with Alpine, Mr. Kurtz was responsible for raising capital, acquiring and developing acreage, and the divestiture of more than 700,000 acres in various project areas. Prior to Alpine, Mr. Kurtz served as Vice President of Business Development for OGE Energy Corp., an Oklahoma regulated public utility, and its subsidiary Enogex Inc., an unregulated midstream company, where he was responsible for the successful acquisition and divestiture of numerous assets. Mr. Kurtz has also held various engineering, commercial, and project development positions with Delhi Pipeline Corporation.

Mr. Kurtz holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Kansas and an M.B.A. from Oklahoma City University. He currently serves on the board of directors of several EFM portfolio companies including Cardinal Midstream Partners, Elysian Carbon Management, Humble Midstream and Iron Horse Midstream.

Samuel G. Pitts

Samuel G. Pitts is a Managing Partner of EnCap Flatrock Midstream. Prior to joining EnCap Flatrock Midstream in 2014, Mr. Pitts was part of the senior leadership team in the Global Energy Investment Banking Group at Citigroup. In this capacity, he focused on financial advisory work related to mergers, acquisitions and divestitures within the midstream and upstream sectors, as well as public and private capital market raises. Prior to that, he was with UBS Investment Bank and a predecessor, Dillon Read & Co. During his investment banking career, Mr. Pitts advised on over $50 billion in transactions and represented issuers in over $15 billion of securities offerings.

Mr. Pitts holds a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin. He currently serves on the board of directors of several EFM portfolio companies, including Aspen Midstream, Clearfork Midstream, Edgewater Midstream, Greenfield Midstream and Lotus Midstream.

Morriss L. Hurt

Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer

Morriss L. Hurt is a Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer of EnCap Flatrock Midstream. Prior to joining EnCap Flatrock Midstream in 2008, Mr. Hurt was Founder of The Encino Group, a boutique investment bank providing institutional quality financial advisory services for entrepreneur-owned companies. In this capacity, Mr. Hurt raised growth capital for high-quality management teams and provided mergers and acquisitions, financial and strategic advisory services. Prior to Encino, Mr. Hurt was a financial analyst with Salomon Smith Barney in New York, working in the firm’s Global Power group.

Mr. Hurt serves on the San Antonio Children’s Shelter Executive Committee as Chairman of Finance / Treasurer and is an Investment Committee Member for San Antonio Academy. Additionally, Mr. Hurt serves on EFM’s internal ESG Committee as well as the Flatrock in Action Committee. Mr. Hurt earned a B.B.A in Finance from Texas A&M University. Mr. Hurt serves on the board of directors of several EFM portfolio companies, including Ironwood Midstream Energy Partners, Rangeland Energy III and Rangeland Energy IV.

J. Zachary Kayem

J. Zachary (Zach) Kayem is a Managing Director of EnCap Flatrock Midstream. Prior to joining EnCap Flatrock Midstream in 2012, Mr. Kayem was part of the Corporate Finance team at SWS Group, where he focused on debt and equity raises and M&A advisory work in multiple industries. Mr. Kayem holds a B.B.A. in Finance from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, where he focused on alternative asset management. He is a board member of Young Professionals in Energy – San Antonio, and serves on the board of directors of several EFM portfolio companies, including Clearfork Midstream, Greenfield Midstream, Moda Midstream and Stakeholder Midstream.

Thomas J. Waldrip

Thomas J. Waldrip is a Managing Director of EnCap Flatrock Midstream. Mr. Waldrip joined Flatrock Energy Advisors in 2006 and EnCap Flatrock Midstream upon its formation. He holds a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Business Administration from Texas A&M University and an M.B.A. from the University of Incarnate Word. During his time at Flatrock Energy Advisors and EnCap Flatrock Midstream, Mr. Waldrip has gained experience in midstream evaluation and economics. He provides support to all finance, administrative, and accounting functions of EFM's funds and portfolio companies. He serves on the Board of Directors of SAMMinistries. Mr. Waldrip serves on the board of directors for Aspen Midstream, Evolution Midstream, Humble Midstream and Ironwood Midstream Energy Partners.

Jana J. Jonas

Jana J. Jonas is Chief of Staff of EnCap Flatrock Midstream. Ms. Jonas is responsible for the daily management of all administrative and office functions across EnCap Flatrock Midstream’s three office locations. In addition to managing the firm’s administrative functions, she also supports the investor relations functions of EFM’s funds and oversees public relations for the firm. She serves on EnCap Flatrock’s Charitable Giving Committee and is responsible for the company’s community outreach efforts. Ms. Jonas joined EnCap Flatrock Midstream in 2008 upon receiving her B.S. in Agricultural Leadership and Development with a minor in Public Relations from Texas A&M University.

Cole G. Ciaburri

Cole G. Ciaburri is a Vice President of EnCap Flatrock Midstream. Mr. Ciaburri supports all finance, administrative and accounting functions of EFM’s funds and portfolio companies. Prior to joining EnCap Flatrock Midstream in 2014, Mr. Ciaburri was an analyst in the Energy Investment Banking Group at Jefferies LLC in Houston, where he focused on M&A advisory work as well as public and private capital raises in the energy sector. Mr. Ciaburri holds a B.S. with a double major in Business Administration and English from Bucknell University. He currently serves on the board of directors of several EFM portfolio companies, including Evolution Midstream, Lotus Midstream and Rangeland Energy IV.

Brett D. Knowles

Brett D. Knowles, CFA is a Vice President of EnCap Flatrock Midstream. Mr. Knowles supports all finance, administrative and accounting functions of EFM’s funds and portfolio companies. Prior to joining EnCap Flatrock Midstream in 2013, Mr. Knowles was an investment banking analyst at Barclays in Houston, where he focused primarily on public capital raises and M&A advisory work within the energy industry. Mr. Knowles graduated summa cum laude from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University with an M.S. in Finance and a B.B.A. in Accounting. Mr. Knowles is a CFA charterholder and a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board at Mays Business School. He currently serves on the board of directors of several EFM portfolio companies including Aspen Midstream, Clearfork Midstream, Edgewater Midstream, Elysian Carbon Management, Iron Horse Midstream, Rangeland Energy III and Rangeland Energy IV.

Matthew R. Melton

Matthew R. Melton is a Vice President of EnCap Flatrock Midstream. Mr. Melton supports all finance, administrative and accounting functions of EFM’s funds and portfolio companies. Prior to joining EnCap Flatrock Midstream in 2017, Mr. Melton was an investment banking associate in the Global Energy Group at Citigroup in Houston, where he focused on M&A advisory work as well as public and private capital raises. Prior to Citi, Mr. Melton was a senior analyst working in the Asset Management Group at Goldman Sachs, where he focused primarily on the sales effort for the MLP Energy Infrastructure Fund. Mr. Melton holds a B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Texas and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He serves as an advisory board member of The Salvation Army of San Antonio. He currently serves on the board of directors of several EFM portfolio companies, including Cardinal Midstream Partners, Iron Horse Midstream and Moda Midstream.

Bradley J. Misialek

Bradley J. Misialek is a Vice President at EnCap Flatrock Midstream. Mr. Misialek supports all finance, administrative and accounting functions of EFM’s funds and portfolio companies. Prior to joining EnCap Flatrock Midstream in 2015, Mr. Misialek was a Facilities Engineer at Williams Companies in Oklahoma City and San Antonio. At Williams, he provided engineering support on greenfield and acquisition projects in the business development group, as well as engineering pipeline and facilities infrastructure in the Eagle Ford Shale play. Mr. Misialek holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Spanish from Oklahoma State University. He is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. He currently serves on the board of directors of several EFM portfolio companies, including Clearfork Midstream, Lotus Midstream and Stakeholder Midstream.

Abigail L. Rimel

Abigail L. Rimel is a Vice President of EnCap Flatrock Midstream. Ms. Rimel supports all finance, administrative and accounting functions of EFM’s funds and portfolio companies. Prior to joining EnCap Flatrock Midstream in 2020, Ms. Rimel was Manager – Project Development at Sterling Energy Investments, providing technical and commercial support for midstream infrastructure in Colorado’s Denver-Julesburg Basin. She also previously worked as an engineer for Chevron Phillips Chemical Company at the Sweeny Complex in Texas.

Ms. Rimel holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kansas and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She is a Registered Professional Engineer in Colorado and previously served on the Board of Directors of the GPA Midstream Rocky Mountain Chapter. She currently serves on the board of directors of several EFM portfolio companies, including Cardinal Midstream Partners, Elysian Carbon Management, Evolution Midstream and Humble Midstream.

R. Kyle Stelma

R. Kyle Stelma is a Vice President of EnCap Flatrock Midstream. Mr. Stelma supports all finance, administrative and accounting functions of EFM’s funds and portfolio companies. Prior to joining EnCap Flatrock Midstream in 2017, Mr. Stelma was an analyst in the Energy Investment Banking Group at Jefferies LLC in Houston, where he focused on M&A advisory work as well as public and private capital raises in the energy sector. Mr. Stelma holds a B.B.A. in Finance from Texas A&M University. Meredith M. Stieler

Meredith M. Stieler is the Vice President of Accounting and Controller of EnCap Flatrock Midstream. Ms. Stieler joined EnCap Flatrock Midstream in 2012 and has more than 30 years of experience in accounting and risk management positions. She began her career in public accounting and served as a Senior Auditor with KPMG. In 1990, she joined the wholesale gas trading business at Enron Corp. and over the next 12 years served in a variety of energy accounting and risk management positions. Ms. Stieler has held positions as Controller in the construction industry and a non-profit organization serving youth in Texas. Ms. Stieler holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from Texas A&M University and an M.B.A. from Houston Baptist University.

Ryan T. Lupo

Ryan T. Lupo is Manager, GIS & IT of EnCap Flatrock Midstream. Mr. Lupo joined EnCap Flatrock Midstream in 2019, bringing over 10 years of Geographic Information Systems knowledge and experience. Prior to joining EnCap Flatrock Midstream, Mr. Lupo spent nearly five years at Howard Energy Partners building a GIS infrastructure as a Senior GIS Analyst. Before his role at Howard Energy Partners, Mr. Lupo grew his experience in Occidental Petroleum’s Information Technology GIS group supporting Oxy’s worldwide GIS infrastructure and growing their South Texas and Mid-Con GIS systems. Mr. Lupo holds a B.S. in Geographic information Systems from Texas A&M University.

Ian S. Morris

Ian S. Morris is an Investment Analyst of EnCap Flatrock Midstream. Mr. Morris supports all finance, administrative and accounting functions of EFM’s funds and portfolio companies. Prior to joining EnCap Flatrock Midstream in 2021, Mr. Morris was an Investment Banking Analyst at Evercore’s Corporate Advisory business in Houston, where he focused on M&A and capital structure advisory across the energy sector. Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Morris was a Finance and Corporate Development Analyst at EPIC Midstream in San Antonio. Mr. Morris holds a B.S. in Accounting from Trinity University.

Michelle L. Broyles

Administrative Assistant

Michelle L. Broyles is an Administrative Assistant for EnCap Flatrock Midstream. Ms. Broyles joined EnCap Flatrock Midstream in July 2015 and is responsible for the administrative functions for Greg King at the firm’s San Antonio office. She is also responsible for all the administrative and accounting functions for GCK Ventures. Prior to joining EnCap Flatrock Midstream, Ms. Broyles worked at Valero Energy Corporation for 27 years, including serving as an executive assistant to the President.

Laura E. Garner

Laura E. Garner is an Office Manager for EnCap Flatrock Midstream’s Houston office. She joined EnCap Flatrock Midstream in 2015 and is responsible for the management of administrative and office functions. Prior to joining EnCap Flatrock Midstream, Ms. Garner was an Executive Assistant in Asset Management at Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. Prior to that, she was a Lending Assistant at Amegy Bank in the Private Banking Group. Ms. Garner holds a B.B.A. in Finance from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

Mindy S. Hinds

Mindy S. Hinds is an Administrative Assistant for EnCap Flatrock Midstream’s Oklahoma office. Ms. Hinds joined EnCap Flatrock Midstream in 2011 and is responsible for the administration of the firm's Oklahoma City office. She studied business at Michigan State University and has held similar positions with Imperial Inc. in Oklahoma City and New England Life Insurance in Tulsa.

Aimee M. Rogers

Aimee M. Rogers is an Administrative Assistant for Encap Flatrock Mistream’s San Antonio office. Mrs. Rogers joined Encap Flatrock Midstream in 2020 and is responsible for the administrative functions of the firm’s San Antonio Office. She studied Psychology at Alamo Colleges and has held similar positions with WellMed Medical Management and Provenir Healthcare in San Antonio.
